Senior Avaya OfficeLinx Voice Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Senior Avaya OfficeLinx Voice engineer for cloud services operation
  • Design, implementation, configuration, daily operation and upgrading of Avaya OfficeLinx including:
    • Avaya OfficeLinx
    • Avaya OfficeLinx – JITC
    • Windows 2012 R2
    • Windows 2016
  • Perform discovery of customer telephony environments for configuration and requirements gathering
  • Lead active deployment of Avaya OfficeLinx systems in standalone and high availability configurations
  • Design and implement Avaya OfficeLinx including required configurations in Avaya System Manager, Session Manager and Communication Manager
  • Design and implement dial plan for voicemail
  • Configure SSL certificates for OfficeLinx
  • Implement unified messaging with Office365 and GoogleApps
  • Configure web-based voicemail access
  • Configure LDAP integration, single sign on
  • Build and maintain ports and protocols required for OfficeLinx deployment both in the cloud as well on customer premises
  • Perform upgrades and patch both applications and operating systems as necessary
  • Perform detailed interoperability testing for new releases
  • Troubleshoot L2/3 level incidents
  • Participate in P1/P2 escalation calls and provide customer timely updates
  • Open tickets and manage escalations with Avaya and/or other manufacturers if necessary
  • Perform SIP Troubleshooting for SIP Phones and SIP Trunks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years UC Engineer experience, OR combination of a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, computer science or related field PLUS at least 2 years UC Engineer experience
  • Proven expertise with System Manager, Session Manager, Communication Manager, Avaya OfficeLinx
  • 2+ years Avaya OfficeLinx 10.5+
  • 3+ years Avaya Aura System Manager 7.x, 6.x
  • 3+ years Avaya Aura Session Manager 7.x, 6.x
  • 3+ years Avaya Aura Communications Manager 7.x, 6.x
  • 3+ years voice protocols such MGCP, H323, SIP, SIP trunks
  • 3+ years complex dial plan configuration in Session Manager and Communication Manager

  • Certifications
    • Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS)
