CBP Partners with First FedRAMP Authorized UCaaS Provider
LOS ANGELES, CA – November 8, 2017– Collab9, a best-of-breed, FedRAMPSM Authorized Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) provider, today announced that it has partnered with United States Customs and Border Protection for what is set to be the first FedRAMP Authorized Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) deployment in the United States federal government.
Collab9 received its FedRAMP authorization in 2016, after receiving an Authority to Operate (ATO) from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Collab9 integrates voice, video, messaging, mobility, presence, conferencing, e911, and contact center services in one secure platform that’s custom tailored to the unique security requirements of the federal government. It also holds the distinction of offering its best-of-breed hosted UC services through several government contracting vehicles, including the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70, NASPO ValuePoint, and EIS, as part of its mission to simplify public sector agency cloud deployments. Presidio is delivering the technology expertise through a full life-cycle model of professional, managed, and ongoing support services, including strategy, consulting, design, and implementation.
Of the partnership, collab9 CEO, Kevin Schatzle, said: “We are extremely proud to leverage our unique qualifications in the public sector to deploy what will be the first FedRAMP Authorized, cloud-based contact center platform in the federal sector for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. As the first UCaaS provider to receive FedRAMP Authorization, our ultimate mission is to support the U.S. federal government, along with state and local government agencies, with secure hosted UC services, so they can operate more efficiently and work towards their respective missions. U.S. Customs and Border Protection and its work to protect and secure our borders, serves a critical function in the United States.
